Marc Lammers coaching (MLc) has developed a complete program for the individual field hockey player. Every player can join in at any given level and develop into an accomplished field hockey player by attending the various MLc programs. Level 1: half-day program. This program is for the player who has just become acquainted with field hockey. It shows the participants what is special about field hockey, through experience: scoring, dueling for the ball and playing large and small sided scrimmages. Level 2: full-day program. The program for the player who generally knows the game and who already has a few years experience of the game. The technical schooling of the individual player is the main focus in this program. Level 3: advanced full-day program. This is the program for the competitive player. The refinement of the technical skills coupled with imparting general tactical ability concerning possession of the ball, loss of the ball and the transition from ball possession to ball loss and vice versa are the main points in this program. Level 4: overnight program. The main aim of this program is to achieve a refinement of the technical skills concerning the manner and place of their execution. Secondly, increasing the tactical ability when in possession of the ball and when having lost the ball will be dealt with, together with the interpretation of the various positions within the team. Level 5: advanced overnight camp. This program is an extension of the previous one. However, the participants working and thinking together is dealt with more thoroughly. Field hockey problems are solved by everyone and so the players are compelled to help find solutions, with words and deeds. Clearly an advanced program. Level 6: goalie program. This program consist of working on the individual skills of the goalie but also on his position in the team and how to act in the various situations to contribute even more to the team performance than only stopping a ball.
